We Love The USA!

The Gals had their First Grade Program today. They both had speaking parts and were very excited about that!

Winers!

Mike and I went to the Virginia Wine Expo today and had a wonderful time. It has been so long since we have had a chance to go to a wine show. It is one of our favorite things to do. We can't wait until the next one!

Our Princess Is Home!

Scarlett survived the night and is back with us. She was so excited when we picked her up at the vet that she ran all the way to the car.

All I have to say is that those were two of the most expensive candy bars in the world. But - she's worth every dime (she really is, Mike). :)

Can The Day Get Any Better?

Scarlett is in the hospital. She found a couple of big dark chocolate candy bars in Logan's room and decided to try them. We took her to the vet where they pumped her stomach, and then they sent us on to the emergency vet because she needs overnight care. There is a danger of her having cardiac issues because dogs cannot deal with caffeine and something else I can't pronounce that you find in chocolate. Hopefully, she will be home with us tomorrow.

Broken Hearted

One of our MOPS moms, our Dear Lynn (center), died last Thursday after a very valiant fight against breast cancer. She has been such a big part of our lives for the past few years - she will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Better Than I Imagined

About two months ago, I told Papa I needed him to do something for me. I needed some kind of bench - with storage - for the gals to put their American Girl dolls. I went to North Carolina this weekend to find the project was complete. The gals love it! I love it! Emily and Elizabeth love it! I'm seeing a matching set of bunk beds in the future. :)

Winter Fun at Wintergreen

This morning we left and headed for the mountains. We took the kids tubing at Wintergreen. They loved it. We loved it. Everybody was happy. I was a little concerned about the gals and how they would react, but I should have known they would have no fear. It only took about 5 minutes before they were begging us to let them go down by themselves instead of having their tubes attached to one of us. Amanda wanted to know when we could head over and take snowboarding lessons (no, Logan did not put her up to that - she really wants to do it). I told her I would look into it for her. And I will - in about 7 or 8 years.
