Happy Halloween

Well, another Halloween bites the dust. We headed over to our Dear Onofrys' neighborhood this year to do our Trick-or-Treating. The Englisbys joined us which made it even more fun. While the dads headed out with the kids, the moms sat at the end of Dear Katie's driveway passing out candy. Looks like we have started a new tradition.

Disgusting!

OK - dissecting the crayfish last week was one thing. We all thought that was cool. But, today, we get to CC and find out that they have "owl pellets". No, it isn't what you think. It is worse. They had little balls of owl stomach contents. The Gals had to break them apart and pull out bones, beaks and whatever else they could find. They matched them up to a chart they had to see what animals they came from.
A few of the boys thought it was great, but for the most part - well, let's just say that we finished this science project quickly.

Crayfish

Today, at our Classical Conversations class, The Gals got to dissect crayfish. They loved it! What kid doesn't like plucking out cool looking eyeballs and seeing what a tiny heart looks like. Very stinky - but they didn't care. Best part - bringing them home to show Dad.

Sorry

I know I haven't updated my blog in a while. After the MOPS Convention, I hit the ground running with the women's retreat for our church. I was asked to speak on the Joy of Others, so I had to spend some time figuring out what I was going to say. It went great! Then, I had to start focusing on helping with the Mothers of Multiples yard sale for my multiples club. Finished that last weekend. This week has been a time of recovery. With school and MOPS and getting The Soldier ready to leave, there just hasn't been much time. I promise to do better.
