Mike and I are back from our 5th MAPOM (Mid-Atlantic Parents of Multiples) Convention. This year it was in Roanoke, and we had a good time. When we weren't selling raffle tickets for SAMOM (Southside Area Mothers of Multiples), we took a trip up to the Mill Mountain Star and walked around the downtown area where there was a Farmer's Market. Saturday night all 15 attendees of our club went to a jazz restaurant (thanks, Cara) and had fun. We stayed at The Hotel Roanoke. Very pretty! Unfortunately, we didn't win any of the raffles we entered. But, one woman won over $1000 worth of gift cards and cash. She actually did a cartwheel when they called her name the second time. Next year it is in Fredericksburg. I see much shopping in our future!
